After leaving the direction of the International Film Festival in Guadalajara, a post he was for five years, producer Jorge Sanchez had in mind to create an alternative space for the Mexican cinema and new digital platforms for exhibition, distribution and production. The result is "La Casa del Cine", located across the street from Uruguay 52, Centro Historico.

The movie house has an exhibition hall with 50 seats, which is scheduled every day a Mexican film, as well as retrospectives of world cinema, in fact preparing a film dedicated to the Brazilian and the other to the Iranian.

With a mood film societies, this house already has a library of 250 titles of national cinema, films that will be available to anybody, if not taken for the purpose of profit.
